2021 – Performances captured on an analog camera
Performers: Anton Lyngdal Sigurdsson & Nathan Favot
Photography by Nathan Favot, Iceland, 2021

This project is a collaboration between the Icelandic artist, Anton Lyngdal Sigurdsson, and Nathan Favot. To realize it Nathan came to Iceland with his large-format camera, in order to reproduce the long exposure technics he had developed. Together they performed in the natural landscapes of Iceland at night in front of the analog camera. By combining flashlights and long exposure they have created optical imagery where the characters always seem to be in movement. Their presence will fade away while the analog surface is marking their passage. This captured moment is crystalizing ideal identities
that cannot permanently exist. They are the posers’ reflections.
